LiU researcher Jelena Kurilova was invited by the renowned journal Resources, Conservation & Recycling to present her research on sustainable and circular manufacturing.

In July 2025, Jelena Kurilova, Associate Professor at the Division of Environmental Technology and Management, Linköping University, was invited to speak at an international webinar organized by the scientific journal Resources, Conservation & Recycling (RCR).

RCR is one of the world’s leading journals in sustainable production and circular economy, with a high impact factor. For each journal volume, only two research papers are selected for presentation in an official webinar — making the invitation a notable recognition of the research quality and impact.

During her talk, Jelena Kurilova presented her paper “Four Levels of Remanufacturing Maturity as a Circular Manufacturing Indicator: A Theoretical Framework and Practical Assessment Tool.” The presentation focused on how manufacturing companies can assess and advance their remanufacturing practices as part of the transition towards more resource-efficient and sustainable production systems.

“It was an honour to be invited. Being selected by such a prestigious journal shows that our research attracts attention far beyond Sweden,” says Jelena Kurilova.
