The Swedish Excellence Centre for Computational Social Science and the Institute for Analytical Sociology hosted the 11th International Conference for Computational Social Science (IC2S2) in Norrköping, Sweden, on July 21-24, 2025.

This year's conference was held in Norrköping, Sweden, on July 21-24.

This premier event, attracting more than 600 researchers annually, explores the intersection of digital data, computational methods, and social science theory. IC2S2 is the annual conference of the that has emerged as the dominant conference at the intersection of the social and computational sciences.

It serves as a hub for experts from sociology, computer science, complex systems, physics, statistics, political science, economics, and psychology, and more, committed to understanding the social world through large-scale data and computation. The conference covers research areas of high societal relevance, including political polarization, migration, urban planning, environmental protection, armed conflict, and the societal impacts of artificial intelligence.

A unique feature of IC2S2 is its focus on knowledge transfer through tutorials and interactive activities, particularly designed for young scholars. We hosted this year’s conference in Norrköping. All keynotes are available on our .
