The final report from our research programme Segregation: Micromechanisms and Macrodynamics has been published. The objective of the five-year programme, financed by Riksbankens jubileumsfond and carried out in collaboration with the Institute for Futures Studies, was to understand ethnicity-based and gender-based segregation in Sweden.
The researchers who were involved have worked with large quantities of data from registers and large scale simulations to study how workplaces, schools and geographical areas are segregated in different ways. They have also developed new methods in analytical sociology.
