- This is a major event focusing on sustainability transformations – we are inaugurating LiUST (LiU Sustainability Transformations) and creating a meeting place for students, researchers, teachers, staff and external partners, says Tina-Simone Neset, Professor and Director of LiUST.

Take part in games, walkshops and panel discussions about sustainability

  • networking across the building, where several research initiatives and centres will be present to showcase their work
  • games for sustainability transformations
  • walkshops
  • student organisations presenting their activities, for example Navitas, who will host a pop-up second-hand shop
  • panel discussions on sustainability transformations, how LiU’s campus can become an experimental arena, and what representatives from Saab, Siemens Energy, Tekniska Verken, VTI and Linköping Municipality see as opportunities for collaboration with LiU on sustainability transformations

Try an AI tool for urban development

Arsal Azhal, one of LiUST’s student coordinators, especially recommends the walkshop – an unique opportunity to try out ULALABS’ tools. ULALABS is an European collaboration where universities and other actors work together to test new ideas for sustainable cities.

- We are collaborating with ULALABS on an AI tool for urban development that uses Google AI to generate visual ideas for how cities can develop in a more sustainable way. During the walkshop, from 2 to 3 pm, we will take photos of the site and test the tool together – you will create your own ideas, see them visualised, and receive a short report. It should be particularly interesting, for example, students of engineering and urban planning.

The event will take place at NEXUS (formerly Zenit), Campus Valla, Linköping from 9:30 to 16:30.

This is a drop-in event open to everyone, and you are welcome to come and go as you like throughout the day.
