Internationalisation creates significant opportunities for knowledge development, innovation and global collaboration. At the same time, it raises questions concerning governance, risks and long-term consequences. CARRI contributes knowledge on how international collaborations can be developed in ways that strengthen both the quality of research and the needs of society.
The centre addresses issues related to policy frameworks, risk and opportunity assessments, and the impact of internationalisation on research, education and innovation capacity. By bringing together expertise from different academic disciplines, a broad understanding is developed of the complex challenges and opportunities associated with global collaboration.
CARRI also serves as a point of contact for collaboration with government agencies, industry and other higher education institutions – both in Sweden and internationally. The aim is to support well-informed decision-making and to strengthen the conditions for responsible internationalisation in practice.
