Webmaster

I am a Webmaster at ÌÇÐÄÍøÒ³°æ and Management Coordinator at Communications and Marketing Division.

Webmaster at LiU and Management Coordinator at KOM

As the central webmaster at LiU, I am responsible for content production processes for LiU’s website, with a strong focus on research communication. I also serve as a Management Coordinator at the Communications and Marketing Division (KOM), where I coordinate operations, provide support, and maintain an overview of assignments, resources, and incoming requests.

I am driven by creating, developing, structuring, and organizing work to continuously improve content, communication, and processes.

Management Coordinator at the Communications and Marketing Division

My role as Management Coordinator includes operational coordination, support, and oversight of assignments, resources, and requests.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving communication requests from the university’s core operations, assessing needs, and proposing suitable solutions to the relevant unit manager.
  • Supporting the allocation and planning of communication resources based on competence and availability.
  • Contributing to recruitment and onboarding processes, as well as offboarding activities.
  • Managing agreements and contracts related to communication assignments.
  • Working with management and the Finance Division regarding invoicing and financial matters.
  • Maintaining and developing governing documents, routines, and processes related to the procurement and use of communication resources.
  • Leading or participating in development initiatives related to working methods and processes.
  • Acting as project manager for communication-related assignments when required.

For many years, I have been responsible for planning and coordinating the onboarding of new employees within KOM. I also train communicators who work with liu.se in our content management system, Sitecore.

Another area of responsibility is planning and procuring computers, tablets, mobile phones, and other equipment for employees within KOM.

My Responsibilities as Webmaster

I work closely with colleagues on publishing tools, support, analytics, and training. I train communicators to become Sitecore editors if they will be working with liu.se and plan ongoing professional development related to the platform. Sitecore is LiU’s web content management system.

I am also responsible for content production processes. This includes guiding and supporting editors in how to structure, build, or redesign web pages to improve functionality, user experience, and visual design, while ensuring that content aligns with the intended target audiences, objectives, and purpose.

Part of my role involves responding to inquiries received through our functional mailbox, webmaster@liu.se, and resolving technical issues related primarily to Sitecore and the LiU website, liu.se. I am also responsible for managing and maintaining web-related governance documents, including the web strategy, content guidelines, user guides, and related documentation.

LiU’s Intranet – Liunet

On Liunet, I am responsible for the site Support for Research.

Contact for Central Support

The Webmaster function is part of the Communications and Marketing Division and is located in Building D, Entrance 41, Campus Valla.
Please note that we only accept support requests through our case management system webmaster@liu.se.

My areas of responsibility and tasks as webmaster

I am responsible for introducing and training newly employed communications officers who are to work as editors in Sitecore (the web publishing system used at LiU). I am also responsible that user expertise increases continuously. Another field in which I work concerns processes associated with content production. This means, for example, that I guide and support editors in how to design and construct, or restructure, a webpage to give it better functionality and design, better suited to the target groups, purpose and objective that have been established for the page and its contents.

Part of my work is to answer and manage questions we receive to the functional email address webmaster@liu.se. I solve technical problems that editors experience, mainly in the use of Sitecore, and our external website liu.se. I have administrative responsibility for web-related documents such as website strategy documents, contents guidelines, guides, etc.
