My doctoral research engages with nuclear waterscapes as natural-cultural phenomena, exploring their past, present, and future orientations. My doctoral work is situated is within the newly established research area 鈥淣uclear Futures.鈥�

Nuclear Futures

This research area explores the role of nuclear power in the society of the future, with a focus on new technologies, long-lived radioactive waste, and how people and institutions manage risk, responsibility, and decision-making over long timescales.

Critical Nuclear Studies

Critical Nuclear Studies explores the social, political, cultural, and ethical dimensions of nuclear technologies. Our research spans many areas highlighting how nuclear materials shape environments across time.
