From Lasarettsbacken in the northern part of the hospital area, you reach many premises at the University Hospital Campus. Entrance 65 leads to the Medical Library among other places.

‘Märkesbacken’ winds around Kårhuset Örat and display a cavalcade of symbols, patterns and colours representing the student union, sections, and student clubs and societies active on campus.

Building 511, or ‘Växthuset’, contains auditoriums, classrooms, group activity rooms, student services, study areas and much more. The north entrance (Norra entrén) to Linköping University Hospital is located just across the street.

The shimmering glass facade in the southwest was created by American artist Spencer Finch, who is also the man behind the work of art by the National September 11 Memorial Museum in New York.

At the start of each semester, all new students gather in the entrance hall of ‘Växthuset’ to be welcomed by representatives from the faculty management and student union Consensus.

At Kårhuset Örat you can study and have coffee during the day. A couple of evenings a month, the premises are transformed into a pub and party venue. At the top floor, the student union Consensus has its office.

The building was previously home of the audiological clinic, which explains the nickname ‘Örat’ (the ear).

Clinicum is a training and simulation centre where students at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences are given ample opportunities to practice clinical skills in a safe environment.

At Clinicum students can practice anything from taking blood pressure to handling a simulated patient in a fully equipped emergency room.

There are classrooms on the floor below the north entrance to the hospital. From here you can also reach Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization (CMIV), where front-line research within medical image science and visualisation is conducted.

The centre was initiated by Linköping University, Region Östergötland and Sectra AB.
